July 18-19, Montreal, Tiohtià:ke
Join me for a two day workshop exploring the connection between our lived experience and our embodiment

body wisdom
The body is a powerful gateway to the subconscious. Through performance art, we can access deep layers of emotional and physical experience, opening a unique space for profound self-exploration, creativity, and healing. In this Performance Art Lab, the body becomes both the subject and the medium. Through guided creative explorations, participants will reconnect with bodily sensations, emotions, memories, and thoughts in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. By slowing down, listening to the body, and engaging in embodied artistic practices, we create opportunities to release stored tension, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate a greater sense of integration between mind, body, and emotion. No previous experience in performance art is required. The lab welcomes artists, movers, performers, and anyone interested in exploring the expressive and transformative potential of the body through creative practice.
what to expect:
· Guided somatic and embodiment practices for deepening body awareness and presence· Exploration of sensation, emotion, and movement as sources of artistic expression· Creative performance art exercises and butoh-inspired performing techniques· A supportive space for self-discovery and authentic movement· Practical tools for reconnecting with your body's vitality and wisdom· Opportunities for reflection, sharing, and integration within a supportive community

Hi! I am Tatiana
I am a performance artist, poet, educator, and researcher based in Montréal. For nearly two decades, I have been exploring the transformative potential of the body through performance art, somatic practices, creative writing, and movement practices. My work is inspired by questions of memory, migration, intergenerational healing, and the ways our life experiences are carried and expressed through the body. Over the years, I have become deeply interested in the intersection of performance, art therapy, and butoh, and the way these practices can help us reconnect with ourselves in more authentic and compassionate ways.I hold a PhD in Humanities from Concordia University and teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses. In my teaching, I create supportive and exploratory spaces where participants can deepen their relationship with their bodies, access their creative potential, and discover new pathways for self-expression and healing. I believe that the body holds profound wisdom, and that learning to listen to it can become a powerful source of transformation.
